Billy and Hassan are among 11 honorees this year, and will receive their award at the annual Freedom Fund Banquet, the NAACP Baltimore City Branch’s largest yearly fundraiser. “[This is] an opportunity for us to honor and celebrate the selfless and community-oriented service provided by a cross section of leaders in our city,” said Tessa Hill- Aston, president of the Baltimore City NAACP. “But it is also a time for us to give a call to action to continue the work for justice and equality.”

This year’s event will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Baltimore on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 6:00pm. Guests are welcome to attend. Tickets are $100 and proceeds from the banquet go to fund many of the local branch’s programs for the Baltimore community.
