Tribute To Rev. Jesse Jackson

Jesse Jackson was a magnificent civil rights giant who relentlessly inspired us with his incredible brilliance, wisdom, courage, commitment and selfless desire to help any activist who needed it.  On numerous occasions, I witnessed him help activists solve difficult problems. For example, I campaigned with him across Maryland, Virginia and D.C. in 1984 when he ran an extraordinarily effective campaign for president, marched with him and the citizens of Flint after my firm filed suit there to help solve their poisonous water problems, and brought him to Baltimore to speak brilliantly at Freddie Gray’s funeral and inspire the Baltimore ministerial community to effective action. He was a warrior leader who risked his life for all of us each and every day.

We will forever miss him.
