Are You a Victim of the Lifebridge Data Breach
On March 18, 2018, LifeBridge Health discovered a breach in one of their servers containing confidential patient data. Upon further investigation, they concluded that someone had gained unauthorized access to the information on September 2016 – more than a year ago.
On April 30, 2020, LifeBridge Health announced that one of its vendors experienced a data breach which allowed criminals to gain access to the documents of patients who received treatment at Sinai Hospital. The breached documents may have included patients’ names, addresses, driver’s license or government identification numbers, Social Security numbers, hospital account numbers, health insurance information, and descriptions about the care patients received at Sinai Hospital.
If your personal information was exposed in the breach, contact the offices of Murphy, Falcon & Murphy immediately. We believe that LifeBridge deserves to be held accountable for their irresponsible handling of your confidential personal information.
If You Have Noticed Suspicious Activity On Your Online Accounts, You May Be A Victim. Call 410-316-6420 Today.
Breaches of personal information are always serious and can often involve grave matters such as identity theft and widespread fraud. We believe there may be patients who have been victims of fraud since the breach. Instance of fraud may include stolen credit card numbers, false loan and bank card applications, and hacked social media accounts.
If you received a letter from LifeBridge Health and suffered any instances of fraud or identity theft after September 27, 2016, contact us immediately to explore your legal options against the healthcare company.
LifeBridge Health had a duty of care to its patients to keep their personal information secure – and failed to uphold that, potentially resulting in financial damages to all patients affected by the data breaches. For these negligent actions, they should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
