Jessica H. Meeder focuses her practice on medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, toxic tort, and products liability litigation. She has significant experience with a numerous forms of complex litigation, including class actions and multi district litigation, and has also managed and litigated large volumes of unconsolidated mass tort cases in state court.

Ms. Meeder graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington, Seattle, with a B.A. in Comparative History of Ideas. During college she studied abroad in Switzerland and South Africa.

In 2005 Ms. Meeder received her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. While in law school, she was a Staff Editor (2003-2004) and Associate Editor (2004-2005) of the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class, and also successfully briefed a case before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Ms. Meeder twice interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, first in its Environmental Torts Division and then in its Environmental Enforcement Section, and received a Certificate of Concentration in Environmental Law. From 2005-2006 she clerked for the Honorable Robert M. Bell, then-Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals.

Prior to joining Murphy, Falcon & Murphy, Ms. Meeder maintained a national practice with a prominent Baltimore plaintiffs’ firm. She also worked for several well-known Baltimore defense firms, where she practiced environmental regulation and permitting, pharmaceutical defense, and general insurance defense. Her experience representing insurance companies and defending businesses across multiple practice areas has made her an especially effective advocate for her injured clients.

Ms. Meeder is licensed in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and various Federal courts. She is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice, She is currently an officer of AAJ’s Section on Toxic, Environmental, and Pharmaceutical Torts, an active participant in AAJ’s Women Trial Lawyer’s Caucus, and a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group 1. The National Trial Lawyers has named Ms. Meeder to its Top 40 under 40 list for the past several years.
