BLSA Students Visit Murphy, Falcon & Murphy
Students heard from founding partner Billy Murphy, managing partner Hassan Murphy, and attorney Tonya Osborne Baña, who each offered insight into the process of becoming a lawyer, getting a job and getting cases.
BLSA is an organization dedicated to creating a support system for African American students across the country by fostering a greater understanding of the legal needs of the Black community, and building relationships with the bar and other legal structures.
It is also an organization with close ties to the firm. Billy Murphy founded the University of Maryland Carey School of Law chapter of BLSA during his tenure at the school, in an era of pivotal civil rights legislation.
